I'm so, so, so sosososo glad it's Friday! And here in Ontario it's a long weekend. I don't know if it's across Canada, lol. Maybe? It's Family Day Weekend. Today was super busy at work so I'm glad the day is over and I can just relax!
Anyhow, I've been using this lip gloss purchased from E.L.F.'s website a little while back. I've been using it for a while now, since October. I figured it's time for a review.
INITIAL THOUGHTS...
I liked the colour and pigmentation of these. It's like a tinted lip balm, really. The colour give off is more than sheer, almost semi-opaque that is buildable.
e.l.f.'s Essential Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick Pink Umbrellas Review:
RESULT: 3/5
Nothing outstanding. But really nice product for what it's worth. It covers nicely and the pink is not too cool or too warm toned, in my opinion. It's also a nice quick fix for some colour and moisture. I would make sure my lips are clear and exfoliated for best results. It has a bit of a minty smell, but not peppermint like. It kind of reminds me of a medicinal smell..a Chinese medicinal smell that I'm quite used to, so it doesn't bother me.

It's nice and balmy, lol. It has a little bit of the waxy feel but it's not greasy and it is easily spreadable. It feels nice on the lips.
WEAR: 2.5/5
Lasts about an hour or two before I reapply again. It's not super moisturizing but it's nice for what it is.

Great deal for 2$ each. I've been using this for a while. It sits in my jacket pocket for a quick resolve. The only issue I had with this is the tube easily gets messy and not too long after using the entire stick of gloss fell out. Luckily it was inside the lid so I easily placed it back in the tube and it's fine now. It hasn't fallen out since.

--------
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Nice colour
- Good pigmentation and buildable
- Quick fix for colour and moisture
- Non-greasy feel
Cons:
- Might not like the smell
- Doesn't last as long as I'd like
- Tip of applicator can easily get dirty
- Can emphasize flakiness
--------
OVERALL RATING: B
Would I repurchase? Probably not. I like it but I don't love it to repurchase. I would spend an extra 4$ for something that is more moisturizing.

Have you tried any of e.l.f.'s lip products? Or this one? What are your thoughts?
Thanks for reading!!

This is a pretty color! If it lasted longer it would be perfect but like you said it's really great for the price. Thanks for the review, you always have high quality pictures :D
I love the ELF lip glosses!
By itself, e.l.f's lip products...well, this particular product isn't good. This above EOS' spherical lip balms and then maybe a bit of gloss at top it works a lot better. It tends to act better when it's not used as a base on your lips. Also, in my experience, it lasts a bit longer.
The colour is love though. I couldn't wear it because it's a bit too close to my natural lip colour.

I've yet to try ELF products - their brushes are soo cheap though, I'm so curious about those!
Ah, too bad this balm isn't too moisturising!
Enjoy your long weekend - so lucky, lol!
How disappointing it doesn't last, but the color is pretty nice! Pretty makeup btw♥

Thanks dear :) Love the colour too..I personally would prefer a lipbalm stick. The chubby stick idea is nice but at first it's annoying to work with.
I'm sure EOS lip products in general are way better than elf. I've tried one of their lip balms and it smells great and works well. I think I stopped using it cause I prefer colour, lol. If this is close to your natural colour, you're so luckyyy :)
Thanks Dear :) Some of their brushes are great and some not so much. I used one of their kabuki brush and I HATED it! So prickly!
Thank you :)
Definitely. I use the EOS lip balm in Summer Fruit (the red sphere one) and it's pretty much the most perfect lip balm I've ever used. It keeps my lips moisturized until I wipe it off and it makes it the best thing to wear under lipsticks or lip tints that dry out your lips. Love love love EOS lip balms.
Oh, I agree. I think that's we're the same. I love colour, so I end up using both the lip balm and bright colour to balance it out.
Yeaah, it is. I have kind of obnoxiously pink lips (obnoxious in comparison to my in tone), so I always have to get pinks and reds that are more obnoxious than the ones people normally get.
