LENS REVIEW: EOS Gothic 3 Tone Hazel (G307)

Hi all,

Back with another lens review for you.  I've had this one for a while and been meaning to put it up.  So, here it is.

Please note, these lenses were bought and paid for with my own money.  I am not being paid or compensated to do this review.

EOS GOTHIC 3 TONES HAZEL (G307) REVIEW:

COLOUR & DESIGN: ★★★/5
These kind of remind me of larger Geo World Brown, only I think these blend betterThe design is fairly generic 3 tone lens meant for the more "natural look".   The lens is semi-opaque, which I personally prefer because anything close to fully opacity gives a sticker like effect.  You still get the sticker look to some extent, especially on certain angles.  The pupil hole isn't too big or small, which is also nice.

ENLARGEMENT: ★★
/5
Surprisingly really enlarging!

COMFORT:
★★/5
Very comfortable as usual:)

NATURALNESS:
/5
I was debating giving it a two.  But, I changed it to three stars as they are good enough to wear during the daytime, given you balance it out with makeup.  The enlarging factor really makes them stand out.

I don't know if I like the way the lens look. Even from a distance they seem a bit off-putting to me but the colour and design are lovely and I'm such a stickler for pretty colours and designs when I get a pair of lenses.

I don't think I'd get 'em personally, but the lenses suit you...does this make sense? (I feel far more scatterbrained than I normally do.)

I remember these being very natural! When I got them though, I expected more vibrant colors but was surprised with a more murky shade :( But they did turn out to be good for an everyday type of lens!

I think these are a great compromise between naturalness but being vivid at the same time. Geo Tri Browns were my favourite for a long time, but I feel that these ones lean towards being more greener. You look great in them!

I really like them up close. There's something about the pattern that's mesmerizing and crystal like.

I do like them. They look nice and the color seems to be one that would suit many skintones. For them being annual lenses (like most circle lenses) the price is also a great bargain. Do you personally find these to be a cross between Europa Green and FreshLook Colorblends Pure Hazel tone wise? Or is that just me?

Sara said...

Thanks Gregg. I've never tried Europa green but I've seen the hazels you posted :) They kind of do remind me of both lenses, somewhat. I think Pure hazel is a bit darker though.

Now that I look at it, almost nudy like too. Sometimes it looks lizardy though. :(

Thank you Vivian :) I've see the tri-browns..and honestly am quite tempted to try them :) Do you have a blog?

Sara said...

Definitely murky..great way of putting it. I think the non-brown colours are generally a bit more vibrant..like aqua.

haha you and I are the same. If I don't like the design / colour, it'll take alot of convincing for me to try them. You make sense to me :) Sometimes lenses look great on others but I don't see myself in them...like style :)

Thanks dear :)

Yeep. You pretty much summed it up for me.

I think one of my other mates would look lovely in it though.
